Terms and Conditions
We would advise in the first instance that all bookings are provisional until confirmed by Chalet Bergerolle. We are unable to accept more than the maximum number of people shown in the letting particulars for this property. If after completing the Booking Form you wish to change the size of your party, you should advise us prior to your arrival. Although the Chalet is booked on an exclusive use basis, local Tourist Taxes have to be paid by Chalet Bergerolle, based on number of adults occupied, so this is important pre-arrival information.
Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday unless stated otherwise. Access to the property is from 16h00 on the day of arrival, with vacation by 10h30 on your day of departure. Chalet bookings are for residential purposes and no commercial activity should take place. Keys for the properties are via a Key safe or direct from the Chalet Host. You will receive the details for the Key safe, staff contact details and directions to the Chalet on receipt of your final payment.
PAYMENTS: A deposit of 25% of the booking fee is payable to secure the booking. The balance is due in full, six weeks before the start of your holiday. Full payment for the holiday is required at the time of booking when this is within six weeks of the start of your holiday. Once your completed Booking Form and deposit has been received, we will write and confirm your booking and the date when the balance of the payment is due.
CLEANLINESS: On your arrival the Chalet will have been thoroughly cleaned between rentals. Visitors are asked to leave the property in a reasonable state of cleanliness, prior to the professional clean included at the end of your visit. If additional cleaning is required above what is expected to be reasonable during the course of a holiday, these costs will be passed directly on to you, in the form of a deduction of your security deposit.
It is not permitted to wear ski or snowboard boots in the Chalet. A boot room is provided for storage and changing of footwear.
PETS: No pets are allowed at Chalet Bergerolle.
HOLIDAY CANCELLATION: You should notify us immediately by telephone should you consider it necessary to cancel your holiday and this should be followed by written confirmation of the cancellation. Every effort will be made to re-let the chalet, and if we are successful you will receive a full refund, less an administrative charge of £80 per booking. If we are unsuccessful in re-letting the chalet you will be liable to pay the full cost of the holiday, whether or not the final balance of the cost has been paid at the time of cancellation. You are advised to insure against this eventuality.
SMOKING: Is not permitted in the chalet. If you smoke outside, use ashtrays provided. Do not throw cigarette ends into the snow.
LOSS OR DAMAGE: Any loss or damage to equipment should be notified to us in order that replacement or repairs can be carried out. Only in the event of the repair or replacement costing in excess of 30 Euros would we look to recover the cost. If additional costs for repair or replacement are incurred, a fair charge will be made to the client for any required management of repairs. The clients are responsible for all keys whilst they are in their possession and for their safe return to Chalet Bergerolle staff. Loss of any keys that you have been provided with will incur a 55 Euro replacement charge per key.
SERVICES: Heating, Electricity and Wi Fi and Netflix TV are all included in the price of the property. Linen and Towels are provided, with Towel changes during the week on request.
SECURITY DEPOSIT: We take the security deposit by ‘pre-approval’ on a credit card, this blocks an amount on your card, it does not take money from the card. This will be done on arrival in resort. The security deposit is 500 euros. We reserve the right to increase this amount. If damages are found after your departure. We will inform you in writing (by email) to explain the damages and the cost. If you are found responsible for the damage. Your card will be charged for costs, plus a 50 euro management fee.
You are responsible for the security of the property at all times whilst in possession of keys and for the safe keeping of all items of property within the apartment. Please ensure that the outer doors of the Chalet, plus your windows or balcony doors are kept closed and locked whilst you are out.
SPECIAL REQUESTS/ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Please advise us of any dietary requirements or allergies at the time of booking.
We are very happy for clients to post accurate information on social media about Chalet Bergerolle. We only ask for honest and truthful use of social media. If untrue negative comments are made in social media, the client agrees to compensate for loss of business and for cost of management time involved. If Chalet Bergerolle management are not first given opportunity to address any perceived problems in a reasonable way, the client will be in breach of this agreement and will agree to compensate for any potential loss of business.
PROBLEM/COMPLAINTS: If any items are not working or you have any complaints, please notify the in-house chalet team immediately. Please be aware that during the winter season, it can take longer to repair or replace any faulty items as availability of contractors or shops can be limited in mountain resorts. We cannot accept responsibility for damage, loss or disappointment arising from complaints that are not immediately reported.

We cannot be held responsible for events outside of our control such as failure of local utilities including electricity, water supply etc. These can also be affected by heavy snow falls or severe weather conditions or by strikes.
